Mrs. Edward H. Friedman represented this area as official
delegate to the four-day convention of the free, non-sectarian
Children's Asthma Research Institute and Hospital (and Jewish
National Horne for Asthmatic Children) at Denver, July 22-25.
Mr. and Mrs. Dooley Cohan and their son, Michael, of
Ward Ave. recently returned from an extended tour of the
southwestern United States.
Dr. and Mrs. Harry Grossman of Votrobeck Ct. were honored
at a recent dinner at The Impressario in celebration of their
47th wedding anniversary. Children and grandchildren in
attendance were Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Grossman and son, Mark
Philip; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cantor and sons, George Nathan
and Michael; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rosenfeld and son, Henry;
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Daughtery, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grossman
and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Grossman. Following the dinner, the
family assembled at the Cantor home to complete the celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Aptekar of Strathmoor Ave. were in
Buffalo, N.Y., recently on a combined business and pleasure trip.
Mr. and Mrs Ben S. Chinitz of Picadilly St. are in Benning-
ton, Vt., where Mr. Chinitz is participating in the summer insti-
tute in the humanities as a John Hays Fellow at Bennington
College. He is the principal of Cooley High School.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Miller were host and hostess at a garden
party in honor of Mrs. Abe (Fae) Fishman of Prairie Dr., South-
field, on July 15, at the home of the Harold Fishmans on Stuart.
Guests included Bessie Beitchman and Carolyn Joy Berman, of
New York.
July is birthday month in the Al Kemper household. Mrs.
Kemper and her three children were all born during the month.
Son Ross Hilton and mother celebrate their birthdays on July 4,
daughter Elicia Kay on July 19 and daughter Debra Michele
on July 24. Born a year apart, Ross is 5, Debra 4 and Elicia 3
