Ford Motor Company Fund
Gives Brandeis $25,000 for
Non-Budgeted Activity
The Ford Motor Company
Fund has given Brandeis Uni-
versity a special, unrestricted
grant of $25,000 for beyond-the-
budget purposes.
The grant is one of several
designed to "give college and
university presidents a source
of funds for any special project
or other activity for which no
provision is made in the regular
school budget," Benson Ford,
Fund president, said.
The Fund was established by
the auto company in 1960 as a
non-profit corporation operated
for educational, charitable and
scientific purposes. The corpora-
tion is not related to the Ford
Foundation. It "selects schools
for the grants," Ford explained,
"for their leadership in the field
of quality education."
