Marshall Scholarship to Bar-Ilan
Is Presented to Jerome Kutnick
The S. L. A. Marshall Scholar-'
ship recipient, Jerome M. Kut-
nick, was the guest of honor
Monday night at a reception in
the home of Mrs. Theodore Barg-
man, 19551 Burington, given by
the Academicians' Committee for
Bis-Ilan University.
Speakers included members of
the Scholarship Selection Com-
mittee! Dr. Martin J. Stearns,
dean of Wayne State University

The scholarship provides tui-
tion, maintenance and transpor-
tation for a year's study at Bar-
Ilan University.
Bar-Ilan, the American spon-
sored university in Ramat-Gan,
Israel, was established in 1955
and has more than 800 students,
100 of them from the United
States and Canada.
Kutnick, an honor student in
the College of Liberal Arts at
Wayne State, has studied Hebrew
literature under Dr. Bar-Adon of
the Department of Near Eastern
Studies.
