Jacob Fields, Active Synagogue
Leaders, Mark 50th Anniversary

A rich and active life, marked
by trials and tribulations and
climaxed in recent years by
their activities in Jewish com-
munal and religious circles, will
be recalled when Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob Field, of 180'71 Ilene, will
, observe their 50th wedding an-
niversary on June 20.
Both Regina and Jacob Field
were born in Poland. They
were married in Lipno, Poland.
Their interests were always cen-
tered in their family and in
synagogue life.
During the last world war,
they were caught in Belgium
and they lived there during
the Nazi occupation, managing
—because Mr. Field is an ex-
pert clothier—to survive the
holocaust.
They came to Detroit in 1947
and they made their mark
here — gaining recognition for
their piety and generosity.
They are members of Beth
Aaron Synagogue and Mr. Field
is now one of the active leaders
in the Chabad movement and
its Detroit committee. He is
devoting himself zealously to
Chabad's latest project, the
establishment of Camp Gan Is-
rael at Fenton. Mich.
An active leader in the
Dobrzyn Kehilah in Poland, Mr.
Field retains his deep interest
in movements that aid religious
and cultural life.
Presently he is associated
with his sons, Irving and Elliot,
in the new Fields' clothing estab-
lishment on Livernois near
Outer Drive.
Besides his two sons, he has
a daughter, Mrs. Jules Radin,
and eight grandchildren.
Corning here for the Fields'
golden wedding celebration
next week are Mrs. Field's
sister, Mrs. Israel Lichtenfeld,
and Mr. Field's brother, Charles
Lichtenfeld, from London, Eng-
