N.Y.- Attorney General
Hits U.S. Anti-Israel
Move in United Nations
NEW YORK. (JTA) — New
York State Attorney General •
Louis J. Lefkowitz told an Israel
Independence Day celebration
that American Jews should "raise
a loud voice of protest" against
actions such as the recent United
Nations Security Council censure
of Israel, and the support of that
resolution by the United States
mission to the United Nations.
Speaking at the Jewish Center
of Kings Highway in Brooklyn,
the Attorney General described
as "astounding" the Security
Council resolution, which he said
"omitted every reference to the
Syrian provocations" which led
to the March 17 raid by Israel for
which Israel ;vas censured.
