Celebration Sunday
at Jewish Center

The program for the Israel
Independence Day Youth Cele- .
bration, to be held 2 p.m. Sun-
day at the Jewish Center, will
include a special feature en-
titled "Sing Along With Tzvi."
This will be a session of
community singing led by
Tzvi Caplan. music director of
the United Hebrew Schools.
The highlight of the pro-
gram will be a cantata, "A
Star in the East," tracing Is-
rael's history from Biblical
times to the present. Featured
in the cantata besides indi-
vidual participants, are the
Habonim halil and choir groups,
the Jewish Center interpretive
dance group and the Hashomer
Hatzair dance group.
Refreshments will be served.
Admission is free and all Jew-
ish youth is invited. This is
the first time that the major
Jewish youth organizations
have united for such an affair.
The event is sponsored by
the Jewish National Fund and
the Jewish Center.

Alliance Israelite Universelle,
which has had to face difficulties
in its activities in North Africa,
"is winning the 'battle of ad-
