Israel Issues Three Denoiiiinations
to Cover Postal Rates Increase
The Israel Ministry of Posts has announced three addi-
tional denominations to the series of Zodiac stamps. The
new stamps are needed because of the hike in postal rates
that went into effect
in Israel Feb. 1. The
stamps were designed
by I. Blauschild, of Tel
Aviv, and were printed
and overprinted in
photogravure on un-
watermarked paper in
sheets of 50. Colors
and denominations are: .03 on .01-IL, mauve with a ram motif;
.05 on .07-IL in light grey featuring Cancer, and .30 on .32-IL, in
light green picturing the Waterman.
