versity dinner.
For many years, Goldberg
was the initiator of communal
functions in tribute to other
leaders. Now his friends are
planning the testimonial dinner
to give him due acclaim for his
work in behalf of Yeshiva Uni-
versity nationally, Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah locally and other
causes in which he has played
and continues to play important
roles. Whether it is in the
Allied Jewish Campaign or in
causes calling for aid to educa-
tional movements and private
charitable efforts, Goldberg al-
ways can be counted upon for
assistance.
He has provided affidavits to
bring survivors from Nazism to
this country and has aided
escapees to Israel, and his files
are cluttered with letters of
thanks from those he has
helped.
His work for Israel Bonds
has brought him national com-
mendation. He is co-chairman
of the Guardians committee of
the Detroit Israel Bond Organ-
ization.

record of service to this coun-
try and he has given him the
nation's recognition for vali-
ant efforts in U. S. Savings
Bonds activities and assist-
ance to the U. S. Army Emer-
gency Relief 20 years ago.

casion to praise him, in 1942,. -
for generous gifts to the Fort

CALL LEADER FOR QUALITY
RUG AND CARPET CLEANING

There's no truer saying than "all that glitters is not
gold" and the saying goes for carpets, too. Carpeting
that is quick surface cleaned is not clean clear through.
Only Leader's Bigelow Karpet-Kare process and profes-
sional crews have that "something extra" that will keep
your wall-to-wall carpets alive with color for years to
come. Remember, the cheapest job is not always the best.
