Mrs. Harry Leavitt, membership chairman of Detroit Council
of Pioneer Women, and Mrs. Norman Kanter, vice president of
organization and past Council president, are in charge of arrange-
ments during the two-day stay here this week of Mrs. Renee
Udell of Youngstown, Ohio, regional chairman for Pioneer
Women. Mrs. Udell is visiting to stimulate the spring member-
ship drive of the Detroit Council.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Yagoda of 5451 W. Outer Dr., Detroit,
are vacationing at the Carillon Hotel in Miami Beach.
Rabbi Moshe Tutnauer, 28, son-in-law of Mrs. Newton
(Dorothy) Weingarden of Detroit, was installed on March 4
as spiritual leader of Beth El Congregation, 302 S. McDowell,
Phoeniz, Ariz. He lives with his wife, Margery, and their two
children, Nachum and Roney, at 1632 N. 11th Ave., Phoenix.
Mrs. Pearl Nosanchuck, Mrs. Meyer Cooper, Mrs. Sonia
Gertzman and Mrs. Rose Tarnoff will leave on March 29 on the
SS France for a nine-week tour of Europe and Israel, six weeks
to be spent in Israel. During their stay there, Mrs. Nosan-

planted in Israel by the Jewish National Fund in memory of
