Israeli Coach to Visit America
The United States Committee
for Sports in Israel has offici-
ally changed its name to the
United States Committee Sports
for Israel and at the same time
announces it is sponsoring a
visit of Israel's national swim-
ming coach, Joseph Teleki, to
America.
The United States Committee
Sports for Israel was founded
in 1948. It sponsors American
participation in the World Mac-
cabiah Games, sends athletic
equipment and coaches to Is-
rael, and currently is involved
in the promotion of a Junior
Maccabiah Development and
Physical Fitness Program here
in the United States.
The invitation to Teleki was
extended by Bob Kiphuth. coach
emeritus of Yale, former Olym-
pic coach, and honorary chair-
man of the Sixth U.S. Maccabiah
Games Swimming Team. Teleki
will live in New Haven, Conn.,
for two months this spring,
studying latest training meth-
ods under the guidance of Kip-
huth and sponsorship of • the
U.S. Committee Sports for Is-
rael.

The group of newcomers, who made their happy entry into
the United States through United Hias Service assistance,
represent four generations: Jeno Steinberger, his grandmother,
his mother and his son. The European migrants range from
four to 93 years of age. They were reunited with members
of their family in New York City. The worldwide rescue
and resettlement agency reports that the Steinbergers are part
of the stepped-up number of persons it has aided this year.
Now providing migration aid at a pace of 50 per cent higher than
anticipated, the agency says there is a good possibility the
increased tempo of activity will rise to 70 per cent by the end of
1961.
