to Mrs. Pearl Krauss of Forest
Hills, N.Y., national Torah Fund
chairman, for her devotion to the
Seminary and "for outstanding
service in shaping the roll of

hold its second annual confer-
ence on "Contemporary Jewish
Thought" March 18 at Beth
Abraham Synagogue, announced

of Mt. Clemens.
Major addresses will be given
by Dr. Leon Stitskin, Yeshiva
University's director of com-
munity relations, and Dr. Sidney
Hoenig, director of the univer-
sity's adult education depart-
ment.
Luncheon will be served. The
conference will end at 3 p.m.
The public is invited.
The first • annual Daniel M.
Hass Memorial Lecture will be
held 8:30 p.m. March 14 at
Temple Israel.
Dr. Salo W.
Baron, profes-
sor of Jewish
history, litera-
ture and insti-
tutions at the
Columbia Uni-
versity, will be
guest lecturer.
Hass He will speak
on "Behind the Scenes of the
Eichmann Case." The lecture is
made possbile by a special fund
of the Temple, administered by.
Rabbi M. Robert Syme, Jacob A.
Citron and Morris Garvett.
The fund was created last
last year following the death
of Mr. Hass, "one of the most
promising young men to com-
plete the Temple's Religious
School program." The Daniel
M. Hass Memorial Scholarship
Fund was inauguarated by
contributions from his friends
and is maintained by his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Hass.
At the time of his death Mr.
Hass had been accepted to the
Wayne State University Medical

groups has been announced.
Israel Fuchs and Sam Sweet

the Tifillen Club, for boys 12-14.
The group meets from 9-10:30
a.m. Sundays. A hot breakfast,
sponsored by the Men's Club and
Sisterhood, is served. Prospec-
tive members are invited to at-

The teenage LTG group under

The Youth Commission, di-
