Grandon was a member of the Hadassah Study Mission, comprised
of leaders from all parts of the United States, which attended
special ceremonies Feb. 6 for the installation of the 12 stained
glass windows renowned artist Marc Chagall created for the
synagogue of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center.
The dedication of the windows was part of the 50th annnversary
celebration in Israel of the founding of Hadassah.

Former Detroiter, Bronson, Named
Assistant Washtenaw Prosecutor

After serving for more than
two years as Ypsilanti's City
Attorney, former Detroiter Ken-
neth Bronson has recently been
appointed special assistant
Washtenaw County Prosecutor.
Among the numerous law-
suits in which he defends his
city, Bronson is presently en-
gaged in a suit against Wayne
County which is attempting to
enlist Ypsilanti to join its sew-
er system. He is also trying a
case aeainst a group attempting
to enjoin the city from carrying
out a $2.5 million Urban Re-
newal Project.
Bronson's civic activities are
many. He is, president of Wash-
tenaw County Bnai Brith and
the Ypsilanti Businessmen's
Club. is active in the Junior
Chamber of Commerce, Friends
of Library, has held parts in
several Plays as a member of
the Ypsilanti Players and is on
the Dulnit selection committee
of the Beth Israel Community
Center.

Test for TB at Detroit
House of Correction

A total of 610 abnormal con-
ditions were discovered in 7,799
chest X-ray taken at the Detroit
House of Correction. during
1961.
Albert Shapira, superinten-
dent at DeHoCo, said in his an-
nual report that 107 cases of
active or suspicious active tub-
erculosis were found among the
abnormalities. In addition, he
said, 181 men were found to
have inactive or suspicious in-
active TB.
Seventy-two of the prisoners
were transferred to Maybury
Sanatorium for treatment.

Detroit, a member of the Na-
tional Bureau of Federated Jew-
ish Women's Groups, has an-
nounced the following affiliated
groups as winners of citations at
the 34th annual meeting at the
Beth Aaron Synagogue for ex-
hibits portraying activities.
