Troth Is Told
Outlined by Dr. Robert I. Jaslow

Rapid expansion of the pro-
grams pursued by. the Plymouth
State Home and Training School,
in Northville, and the experi-
mental explorations of means of
solving the problems of the han-
dicapped, are outlined in report
by the school's medical superin-
tendent, Dr. Robert I. Jaslow.
Stating that the program of the
Plymouth Home concentrates on
the young child, habilitation,
out-patient activities, community
education and research, Dr. Jas-
low declared that "all treatment
programs stand a better chance
of success if they are initiated at
at early age and the likelihood
that such programs can be in-
augurated within the family
structure is considered enhanc-
ed." He added:
"We feel that many of our
patients can be helped through -
an habilitation program. It is
with this in mind that we have
an orthopedist and a trained
physical therapist on our staff
even though we do not have a
large • patient population at
