Three cash awards of $300, $200 and $100 will be made for the three best studies and es- says on subjects related to Jew- ish life in the United States and Canada.. Papers may be on any topic relating to American Jewish life (historical, social, economic, re- ligious, cultural or educational.) Each entry must be based on valid sources and should reflect the independent research efforts Of the contestants. Entries will be judged on content rather than style. Average length for the papers should be 5,000 words. Judges for the contest will be Dr. Meir Ben-Horin, Dropsie College; Dr. Nathan Reich, Yivo Institute for Jewish Research, and Dr. Gershon Winer, Jewish Teachers Seminary and People's University.
