been doing this sort of charitable
work unsung for years, are run-
ning the shindig for the gals.

WHILE IN TOWN recently,
Bess Nader, ex-Detroiter now
teaching elementary school in
Des Moines, Ia., told about hav-
ing her class write a homework
composition ,titled, "My Dog."
... After reading all the comps,
she called up one boy and said,
•"Your composition is the same
as your brother's — word for
word" . . . And the boy an-
sv'ered, 'Why not? It's the same
dog."
