Israel Bond Organization • Announces $66,500,000 Campaign _Goal for '62 NEW YORK—A goal of $66,- 500,000 in Israel Bond sales dur- ing 1962 was unanimously adopted this week-end at the Planning Conference of the Board of Governors of the Israel Bond Organization. The achievement of the new goal would bring to $600,000,000 - the total sold from the inception of the drive to the end of 1962. A record total of $57,214,300 in Israel Bonds was sold during 1961 to finance the development of every phase of Israel's econ- omy, Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, vice president of the Israel Bond Organization, reported. He noted that the amount raised in 1961 was the largest in any single year since the Inception of the drive in 1951. It represented an 11 per cent increase over the $51,625, 350 realized in 1960. Schwartz stressed the signifi- cance of the - "Unprecedented sale" of Israel Bonds in high- lighting their role in the coun- try's economic development. through the sale of Israel Bonds "to enable us to carry on the orderly absorption of large num- bers of new immigrants in the coming year." In an address -urging support of the Israel Bond drive, Senator Hubert H.
