Issue Urgent Plea
for Mothers' March
of Dimes Volunteers

An urgent plea for Mothers'
March volunteers for the New
March of Dimes was issued by
Anne Campbell Stark, Wayne
County Mothers' March Chairman
as final plans neared completion
for 40,000 Mothers to march on
Tuesday, Jan. 30, 7 to 9 p.m.
"We need additional workers
to wear the Golden Key" in the
door to door Mothers' March and
we need them badly," Mrs. Stark
said, indicating that it takes
about 40,000 volunteers to ade-
quately cover Wayne County.
The Golden Key symbolizes the
need to unlock doors to new tri-
umphs in medical research over
crippling diseases, birth defects,
arthritis and polio.
The civic leader who has led
every Mothers' March for the past
11 years said that the Mothers'
March for the New March of
Dimes is the greatest single vol-
unteer effort put forth by the
women of America for any cause.
"Please say YES to our plea
for volunteers, march to prevent
crippling disease", urged Mrs.
Stark. To volunteer—call March
of Dimes Headquarters at WO.

Windsor Moramos Shrine Club.
Since Brotherhood observ-
ances in Windsor are sponsored
by the -Inter-Service Club Coun-
cil in co-operation with the
Canadian Council of Christians
and Jews, the Windsor Brother-

fitting to make the presenta-
tion of the awards a highlight
of the annual banquet of the
Windsor Inter - Service Club
Council, composed of 18 Wind-
sor area service clubs repre-
senting people of all races and
creeds.
To describe in full detail the
range of Myer Dorn's activities
would take much more space
than we have available. How-
ever, we can indicate a few
highlights.
Dorn, a past president of
Bnai Brith, was chairman of
Brotherhood Week in Windsor
for five successive years. He
now serves the Windsor Broth-
erhood Week Committee as
executive secretary. He is a
member of the board of direc-
tors of the International
Freedom Festival and for the
past two years has been chair-
man of its religious committee.
He was general co-chairman for
the Civic Testimonial Banquet
for Paul Martin, is a member
of the Municipal Committee
studying hospital conditions in
Windsor, is presently treasurer
of the Windsor Jewish Council
and the Windsor Jewish Com-
munity Center and this year
he also is chairman of the
Windsor Inter - Service Club
