A resolution rescinding an earlier action for abolishment .of prayers in the public school system was adopted by a 3-1 vote before some 509 parents who attended the board • meet- ing Tuesday night. Board member ,Max Miller, vi measure, author of the preous was the sole opponent to the rescinding order. The new resolution not only will permit teachers to offer prayers "at appropriate times," but provides also for the ob- servance of Christian holidays with the music, decorations and symbols associated with these holidays. In addition, it requires school administrators and teachers to develop a plan for explaining "the several great religions" of the world to students and for giving appropriate recognition to the holidays and symbols of these religions. e resolution stipulates, that attendance at or howev •cipa n in any religious observanc is not required of Ll 8 Orchestr Entertain LI 7-2899 LI LEVIN AUXILIARY 12:30 p.m. Tuesday f Louba Luppiloff, .
