for - Jubilee, Co-Sponsors Lectures Engagement Told
on 'Face of World' with Midrasha

THE DETROIT JEWISH , NEWS — Friday, January 12, 1962

Detroit Chapter of Hadassah,
in cooperation with Midrasha,
will present a series of four
lectures, to be. conducted by
Albert Elazar, superintendent.
of the United Hebrew Schools,
on "Face of the World-1962."
The first lecture will be held
1 p.m. Tuesday at the Esther
Berman Branch of the United
Hebrew Schools. Registration
will begin 12:30 p.m.
The series will deal first with
the crisis spots in the world.
In charge of 'the series for
Hadassah are Mrs. Samuel
Grandon, vice president of edu-
cation; Mrs. Milford Pregerson
and Mrs. Daniel Cohn.
Subsequent lectures are
scheduled for Jan. 23, Jan. 30
and Feb. 5. Discussion periods
will follow each lecture and
background materials will be
available. For registration, call
the Hadassah office, BR 3-5441.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Paul Deutsch,
vice president of fund-raising,
advises that reservations for
the "Golden Jubilee Ball," to
be held Jan. 24 at the Sheraton-
Cadillac Hotel, will be accepted
up to the date of the 50th anni-
versary celebration. Honor roll
pledges may be paid at the
door.
More than 50 prizes will be
awarded, according to Mrs. Irv-
ing Meckler and Mrs. Paul
Borock, chairmen of gifts. Mem-
bers of their committee are
Mesdames Irving -Sachs and
Howard Eisenberg.

man of the "Golden Girls," and
Mrs. Michael Travis and Mrs.
