Abraham Kasten,baum Named Fort Weber-Klunover Worth Federation Executive Aide Troth Solemnized Abraham Kastenbaum, former assistant executive director of the Jewish Community Center of Detroit, has been named executive director of the Jewish Federation of as Fort Worth, Texas. _He will c. begin his du- ties Feb. 1'. O Kastenbaum, who holds under- ' graduate and graduate degrees New York University and A from a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Minne- sota, brings a- wide variety of experience to his new position. He has been executive secretary of the Chicago Council of United Synagogue of America and as the _first director launched -the Council House for Senior Citi- oa 1-1 zens in Minneapolis. He was executive director of Adath Jeshurun Synagogue in Minne- apolis, director of Surprise Lake Wnter Camp S c h o o 1, Cold Spring, N. Y., and directed sev- eral summer camps. He served with the information and educa- tion department of the Army in Europe during World War II. Mrs. Kastenbaum ("Naomi") is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and will retire the end of this month from her present post as associate direc- tor of the Women's Division of Detroit's Jewish Welfare Fed- eration. Kastenbaum holds an accredi- tation certificate from the Na- tional Association of Social Workers and belongs to the Michigan Welfare League, the Gerontological Society and the National Conference of Jewish Communal Services. He was chairman of the social services section of the Allied Jewish Campaign and worked with the professional division of , the Allied Jewish Campaign in De- troit.
