ment of their daughter, Marcia

The future bridegroom is a
senior at Wayne State University.
A June 10 weddirig at Beth
Abraham Synagogue is planned.
Mrs. Edward Wishnetsky, pres-
ident of the Ladies' Auxiliary of
the Jewish National Fund,' an-
nounces that Irina Matari, col-
oratura soprano, of the Israel
National Opera, will be featured
as the guest star at the annual
donor tea, which will culminate
the present donors' campaign, to
be held Jan. 30 at Temple Israel.
In the short time since her
arrival in this country, Miss Ma-
tari sang at the Waldorf Astoria,
New York, for the National. Con-
ference of Christians and Jews,
was the star attraction at a con-
cert -of the United Nations, and
appeared repeatedly on New
York and Philadelphia TV and
radio stations. -
Miss -Matari reached Israel
after , completing her -studies at
the Bucharest Conservatory of
Music. She sang with the Israel
01)era in leading parts, including
Gilda in "Rigoletto," the Doll in.

2 medium tomatoes
. 1 medium onion
V2 lb. mushrooms
1 sm. green pepper
(or 1 medium can)
2 stalks celery
3 cups cooked
.
1 clove garlic
Kasha
1 /2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chop onion, green pepper and celery.
Saute. in butter in large skillet until soft
but not brown: Add mashed garlic and
sliced squash and cook till squash is -
soft, turning several times to prevent
sticking. Add chopped tomatoes and cook
five minutes. Stir 'in Kasha and cheese.
Put in casserole. Sprinkle top with a
little more cheese. Dot with butter.
Cover and bake in 350. oven (medium)
30.40 minutes.
