Jewish Institutions
in Brazil Are Warned
RIO DE JANEIRO, (JTA)—
Jewish institutions throughout
Brazil were war n e d by the
Brazilian Confederation of Jew-
ish Communities to keep close
watch over ,their buildings and
other facilities, particularly
during the period when the
judgment in the trial of Nazi war
criminal Adolph Eichmann was
read in Jerusalem.
The warning was issued fol-
lowing incidents in two pro-
vincial towns, Cur it i b a and
Porto Allegre, in which tomb-
stones in Jewish cemeteries
were broken and desecrated
with Nazi emblems.
