Lodge Relative Weds
Israeli After Conversion

TEL AVIV, (JTA) —Twenty-
three year-old Dolores Ann
Baker, of Cleveland, a relative
of former American United Na-
tions chief delegate Henry Ca-
bot Lodge, and a 27-year-old
Israel engineer' were married
last week in the bridegroom's
kibbutz.
Miss Baker, now Mrs. Yuval
Shulmann, was in the interna-
tional news once before, on
Nov. 10, 1960, when she and a
friend crossed by mistake into
Jordan and were arrested. She
and the friend were released
after eight days of Jordanian
captivity.
The Cleveland girl had been
attending an Ulpan in Givat
Haim kibbutz where she met
Shulmann.
She returned to the United
States - where she was converted
to Judaism by Orthodox rabbis.
Returning to -Israel recently, she
was received by Chief Rabbi
Isar Untermann of Tel Aviv
who accepted her certificate of
conversion and gave approval
to the marriage.
