MRS. JAMES HENDIN

Reva Sandra Berry and James
Edward Hendin were united in
marriage. Nov. 26 at Hotel Shera-
ton-Cadillac. Rabbi Segal offici-
ated.
Parents of the bridal couple
are Mr. and Mrs. Morris Berry
of Park Ave., Oak Park and Mr.
and Mrs. Lewis Hendin of Sor-
rento Ave.
The bride chose a dress adorn-
ed with seed pearls with a white
lace bodice and lace front panel.
She carried white orchids. •
Matron of honor was Marcia
Kovalsky, sister-in-law of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Barbara
Steinberger, Maxine Grant and
Marcia Kutnick.
Best man was Sheldon Berry.
Ushers were Sheldon Grant,
Richard Azimov and Alvin Ko-
valsky.
The couple departed for a trip
to New York City and now re-
side on Troy Ave., Oak Park.

of Kabalevsky's Cello Concerto
will be given Tuesday, 8:30 p.m.,
in the Aaron DeRoy Theater of
the Jewish Center, at the third

string orchestra by Hugo Kaud
er, with Ronald Odmark as solo-
ist, and Ernest Bloch's Concerto
Grosso for String Orchestra and
piano obligato with Marilyn
Lucas at the piano.

Pioneer Women will be climaxed
at its annual "Donor and Tea"

men; Wilbur Shapiro and - Her-
man Kanter, moetzet hapoalot.
Arrangements for the tea,
which will precede the program,
are being chaired by Mrs. Nor-
man Kanter and assisted by Mes-
dames Julius Tatelman, Simon
Karbel and Harry A. Woolf.
'Mrs. Norman Leerily, presi-

dent of Detroit Council of Pio-
neer Women, states that indivi-
duals and groups in the commu-
nity interested in attending the
event, may still make a contribu-
tion to Pioneer Women's "con-
servation fund" which maintains
hundreds of social service, educa-
tional and vocational centers in
Israel.

Rovner-Lachowitcher
Society Elects Officers

The Rovner-Lachowitcher Aid
Society, the organization resulting
from the recent merger of two
landsmanshaft societies, has elect-
ed its first slate of officers.
They are Abe E. Betensky,
president; Abe Saginaw, vice
president; Morris Wasserman,
Louis Silbert and Joseph H. Sie-
gal, secretaries; William Solo-
mon, treasurer; Alex Begun,
trustee; and Sam and Rose Bas-
sin, hospitalers.
Rovner Free Loan Association
officers are Isaac Gruskin, chair-
man; Jacob Gubow, treasurer;
Joe Siegal, secretary; and Benja-
min Helfer, trustee.
Installation of officers will be
