Additionally, Toby Holtzman, as family and friends call him affectionately, has taken an in- terest in rare books, in out of print volumes and in special edi- tions. As a result of such a deep interest in books, he has ac- quired the Charles S. Boesen, Inc., book shop, at 5480 Cass, next to the Belcrest, and he hopes to introduce acquisitions of rarity to Detroit in the realm of books. The late Charles Boesen was well known for his interest in books, and Toby Holtzman has expressed a desire to carry on the work begun at his book store and to add to it - a special Jewish interest whenever he can rare Jewish volumes and manu- scripts.
