of Ecclesiology at Woodstock
College, will present a lecture
on "Religion and the Political
Crisis" 2 p.m. Wednesday in
Room B, McGregor Conference
Center.
The Conference will be con-
cluded with a symposium on-"Re-
ligion and the Cultural Crisis"
with Drs. Altmann, Niebuhr and
Weigel participating. This will
be presented 8 p.m. Wednesday
also in Room B of the McGregor
Conference Center.
The public is invited free of
charge.

The central theme of the Con-
ference is "The Influence of Re-
ligion on Western Culture."
Dr. Altmann will give the
opening lecture on "Religion
and the Philosophical Crisis" 2
p.m. Tuesday in Room B, Mc-
Gregor Conference Center.
The same day at 8 p.m., Dr.
H. Richard Niebuhr, Sterling
Professor of Theology and Chris-
tian Ethics at Yale University,
will speak on "Religion and the
Ethical Crisis" at the Com-
munity Arts. Auditorium.

Open House Planned
Remnant' Film by 2 Detroit Schools

A film based on "The Saving
Remnant," Herbert - Agar's his-
tory of Jewish communities since
World War I, has been made
available for community meet-
ings, it was announced this week
by Edward M. M. Warburg, chair-
man of the Joint Distribution
Committee.
The 28-minute film is a kine-
scope of the original production
telecast last spring on the na-
tional religious program of the
Columbia Broadcasting System,
Lamp Unto My Feet. It provides
a broad panorama of JDC's 45
yeSrs of rescue, relief and reha-
bilitation operations in 25 coun-
tries throughout the world.

Open house will be held at
two of Detroit's public schools
this week in conjunction with
American Education Week,
Nov. 5 through 11.
Bagley School has invited
parents, to visit their child's
classrooms from 7:30 until 9:30
Monday evening. Teachers will
be in their rooms to meet par-
ents and private conferences
may be arranged.
Schulze School will hold it's
annual open house 8 p.m.
Wednesday. Parents may also
visit classroom sessions Mon-
day through Friday.
