Publisher, Dies at 61

NEW' YORK, (JTA)—Harold
K. Guinzburg, a founder and
president of Viking Press, a pub-
lishing house, died Oct. 18 at
the age of 61 after a brief illness.
Guinzburg, a . pioneer in the
book club field, had been a vice-
president of the Jewish Tele-
graphic Agency, a member of the
executive committee of the Amer-
ican Jewish Committee and a
member of the board of directors
of the Joint -Distribution Corn-
mittee. He was pastpresident of
the American Book 'Publishers
Council.

Movie Industry Pioneer
Joseph Schenck, 82, Dies

HOLLYWOOD, (JTA) — Jo-
seph M. Schenck, prominent
Jewish film executive and 'a
pioneer in the motion picture
industry, died here Monday at
the age of 82. He was born in
Russia and came to the United
States in 1890.

Prof. A. A. Margalith, 59

Prof. Aaron A. Margalith, of
the political science department
of Yeshiva University, New
York, died Saturday at the age
of 59. He-was a native of Jeru-
salem and received his 'Ph.D
at John Hopkins University. He
collaborated with the late Dr.
Cyrus Adler in writing one of
his books.
