Dearborn Presents Outstanding Citizen's Award to Isadore Strub Isadore Strub was feted by several hundred civic and busi- ness leaders at the annual din- ner-meeting of the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce Tuesday night when he was presented the Chamber's "Outstanding Citizen's Award" for 1961. Strub is owner of the Dearborn Public Market in West Dear- born. Harry J. Miller, who made the presentation, said Strub was chosen not for any single achieve- ment, but for his many contri- butions to the community over a period of years. Strub opened his first market in Dearborn in 1915. He has been operating the Dearborn Public Market since 1942. A World War I Navy veteran, Strub has been active in Legion work for the past 25 years.
