Sabbath Afternoon Youth Pro-
gram.

panded classes to include adult
courses in elementary Yiddish,
Jewish history and Yiddish lit-
erature.
The classes meet 7:30 p.m. on
Wednesdays at the Workmen's
Circle Center, 18340 W. Seven

Park, was recently honored by
being selected "Volunteer of the
Week" by the Detroit Shopping
News.
Mrs. Newman has chalked up
over 700 hours a year of volun-
teer work for the Sinai Hos-
pital Women's Guild since 1953.
She has spent the last three'
years of this period as buyer
for the. Hospital gift shop.
Mrs. Newman has also been
active in Hadassah. She is a
past president of the Russell
Woods group and has served on
