arity Than
Any Other Religion

A . University of Michigan
Survey Research Center study
shows that Jews give more of
their money to charitable causes
than any other religious group.,
Second on the list are Episco-
palians, followed by Baptists.
According to the study, 45
per cent of Jews donate $50 or
more annually to individuals,
including relatives. Protestants
follow with 38 per cent.
In contributions to charity,
Jews lead with 51 per cent do-
nating. _Forty-three per cent of
Episcopalians give to charities,
in second place.
The Research Center re-
ported, however, that the Lu-
therans lead all religions in
giving to their church, with 67
per cent donating $50 or more
annually.
