The bride-elect is a graduate
of. Wayne State University
School of Education. Her fiance
is a graduate of Wayne State
University -and the Detroit Col-
lege of Law.
A Nov. 12 wedding at Beth

been selected for this year's
Teme Skully Poster Contest,
to be held in conjunction with
the tenth annual Jewish Book
Fair at the Jewish Center, Nov.
18, 19, 20.

Helping to select the best post-
ers will be Mrs. Byran Gerson,
David Rohn, Mrs. Oscar Schwartz
and Mrs. William Zacks.
Entrants are urged to submit
their posters e4rly. The deadline
is 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3.

Stanley Sanford Guterman, presently working towards his
doctorate degree in sociology at Columbia University, and his
wife . recently visited in Detroit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Gutterman. During their stay, they were entertained by
relatives, Mrs. Sam Cohen, Mrs. Ben Komisar and Mr. and Mrs.
Nate Cohen.
Mrs. Julius Ring was recently feted at a luncheon given
by the Brandeis Chapter of American Jewish Congress. Mrs.
Dorothy Wuntner was hostess at the farewell party given in
honor of Mrs. Ring to mark her departure for Europe and
Israel on Oct. 11. Mrs. Ring, long active in civic and community
groups, is presently fund-raising chairman of the Brandeis
Chapter.
Lee Franklin Weinstock, of Snowden Ave., attended the
recent Republican State Central Con-Con Workshop at the
Whitcomb Spring Hotel in St. Joseph, Mich. She then went to
Chicago for three days.
The Shoren Family Club will hold a barbecue 7:30 p.m.
Sunday at the home of its president and secretary, respectively,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tomarin, 15110 Pearson, Oak Park. Games
will follow the dinner, according to Mr. and Mrs. Sanford
Golden, club chairmen.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Kane gave a Bar Mitzvah party for their
son, Sheldon Lee, at Sammy's Avalon Room. Among the out of
town guests were Dr. and Mrs. William Gallagher and their two
sons of Traverse City, Mich., and Mrs. Benjamin Bernstein of
Miami Beach, Fla.
Bodzin Family Club will meet Sunday at the home of
Jack and Alice Bodzin. New officers elected at the last meeting
are Yetta Bodzin, president; Jerry Bodzin, vice president; Rae
Bodzin, secretary; and Eugene Bodzin, treasurer.
