Leading Mumford's January
graduates this year will be
Ernie Ring, president. In the
elections held Wednesday, Sept.
27, Ernie emerged victorious
along with Larry Page, vice
prseident; Sandy Stein, secre-
tary; and. Arnold Partner, treas-
urer.
Set for Dec. 8 and 9, the
• semester's school , play, "My
Three Angels," by Sam and
Bella Spewack, has been cast.
John Shout, Gregory Warren
and Danny Syme have been
chosen as the three "angels."
Michael Oberfield and Rita Cole
play Mr. and Mrs. Ducotel; Bar-
bara Shapoff, their daughter;
and Ronald Bennett, her lover.
The Intramural Sportsman-
ship Council has elected Fred
Aaron as president for the corn-
ing semester. The group is or-
ganized to promote both school
spirit and sportsmanship among
Mumfordites and is part of a
city-wide program.
Student Council is making
ready for "M" Week, to be held
Oct. 9-13. A pep 'rally, school
uniform day, the sale of.M pins
and shakers are the activities
leading up to the homecoming
football contest against Eastern.
The football team was sup-
posed to have been one of the
weakest - to represent Muniford
in a long while, according to
preseason forecasts. They have
proved to be a great surprise,
though. After out-playing South-
eastern, 13-6, two weeks ago, the
gridders pummeled Northern
last week, 40-7. They play North-
eastern today at 3:30.

Leinoff Joins Kantor
in New Delicatessen.
Venture on 7-Mile Rd.

Maurice Leinoff, one of the
best known delicatessen mer-
chants in ]Detroit, last week
announced his association with
Louis Kantor in the delicatessen
business, under the firm name
of Louis and Leinoff, at 15315
West Seven Mile Road.
Leinoff entered the business
In his youth with his father,
the late Joseph Leinoff, first
on Westminster Avenue, where
they were in business from
1918 to 1939, and then on Dex-
ter Boulevard, where they oper-
ated a delicatessen store from
1939 until a few months - ago.
The new partnership joins
two families well known in the
delicatessen business in Detroit.
