man, and Jay M. Rosenthal, co-
cihairman.
That same evening, there will
be a special convocation at
which there will be a panel
discussion of ". . . Three Dates
That Changed Jewish History,"
by Rabbis Benjamin H. Gor-
relick of Cong. Beth Aaron,
Irwin Groner of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, and Jacob E. Segal of
Adas Shalom Synagogue.
Although classes will actually
begin on Oct. 24, the Synagogue
Adult Institute faculty will par-
ticipate in the convocation pro-
gram. They include, in addition
to Rabbis Gorrelick and Segal,
Rabbis Morris Adler, Emanuel
Applebaum, Stanley Greenberg,
Joseph Hirsch and Nathaniel
Steinberg, spiritual leader of
the newly formed Livonia Jew-
ish Congregation.
Instructors in the Hebrew De-
partment are, in addition to
Rabbi Hirsch, Alex Roberg and
Mrs. Reva Thatch. Cantor Reu-
ven Frankel will conduct a
special class in the liturgy and
music of the Sabbath and Mrs.
Reuven Frankel will instruct in
the chalil. Joseph Edelman is
Institute registrar.
The committee charged with
planning the Institute includes:
