Approximately $2,000,000 in additional features will be pro- vided "high-season" visitors at no increase in rates, he revealed, adding that the new program will be inaugurated shortly after Thanksgiving. Fontainebleau will be trans- formed into a resort, reserved exclusively for guests and their friends. To insure this theme, a new entrance and driveway have been constructed and only guests as well as their invited friends will be admitted to Fontainebleau after Thanksgiving. A new indoor pool; complete with 200 sun lamps, is awaiting guests this year. In the same area of this pool, situated in the north- east section of the Cabana Club, bowling lanes with automatic equipment have been installed as well as a- new billiard room. The Health Spa, also situated in the Cabana Club, has been enlarged, featuring new therapy rooms and a complete gymnasi- um. For the first time, this year the Fontainebleau will provide a complete spa plan, including three special meals and two snacks daily. In addition the guest will have a medical examination on admittance and a massage daily as well as special super- vision. Four new tennis courts have been built in the Fontainebleau Gardens and free golf -at an ex- clusive country club is now only minutes away on the new ex- pressways. Putting greens and a driving range are located on the premises. Additional sports fea- tures will this year include ice skating, with a new rink installed in the Pavillon area of the Ca- bana Club, as well as water ski- ing. A luxurious new dining room titled Club Gigi has been com- pleted and will be reserved ex- . elusively for hotel guests and friends as well as a limited , mem- bership of Greater Miami resi- dents. For the first time this year, Fontainebleau will offer the Modified American Plan through the "high-season," with the European Plan optional. La Ronde Supper Club has also been reserved exclusively for guests as a grill with nightly dancing. Two galas a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays will be presented to guests with star-. studded shows. Complementing this program will be a series of fiesta nights in the Boom Boom Lbunge, the home set of the na- tional television show Surfside Six, as well as other entertain- ' ment areas of the hotel. .A complete social and enter- tainment staff has been created to help guide guests during the day and evening programs.
