• Richard B. Kramer Selected as Chairman of '61 Balfour Concert Judge Ira G. Kaufman, pres- ident of the Zionist Organization of Detroit, has appointed Rich- ard B. Kramer as chairman of the 29th annual Balfour Concert, scheduled for Saturday night, Nov. 25, at Ford Auditorium. Kramer received his A.B. de- gree in economics and his Mas- ters degree in social work at Wayne State University. His Doc- tor of Laws degree came from the University of Chicago and he has done graduate work at the University of Michigan. He was regional director of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, and served as . executive secretary of the Jewish Com- munity Relations Council of New Haven, Conn. He was Captain in the United States Army Air Force during World War II and was awarded six 'battle stars. His combat unit was among the first to enter the Buchenwald Concentration, Camp, and while there assisted in the organization of the Jewish Com- mittee on Liberation of Displaced Persons.
