More than 260 persons attended the Bnai David Presi-
dential Toast to Israel dinner last week. Nearly $30,000 in
Israel Bonds were sold, including $5,000 from the Chevra
Kedisha Cemetery Fund and $5,000 purchased by Julius Roten-
berg. The President and past presidents of the congregation
were honored. Left to right-, seated: Morris J. Brandwine,
dinner chairman and a past president; Jan Bart, guest artist;
Julius Rotenberg, who was awarded a scroll by the Israel Bond
Organization; standing: William Weinstein, toastmaster; Mel-
ville J. Richman, president of the congregation, and Mendel
Shifman and Joseph Gorman, past presidents. Not shown are
Past Presidents Charles Shere, David J. Cohen and Harry
