gineering and construction con-
tracts throughout Africa, was
\announced by Jack Schechter,
president of the J. E. Schecter
Corporaiton of Long Island City,
New York, a major American .
firm specializing in air condi-
tioning, ventilation, sanitation,
electric power distribution and
allied mechanicial contracting
for industry.
Upon his return from a five-
week trip to Israel and several
African nation s, Schechter
stated that his company, to-
gether with industrial contract-
ing interests in Israel, would
employ Israeli personnel in key
managerial a n d supervisory
positions and utilize some Israel-
made products in earring out a
number of major mechanical
contracts his firm had obtained
on Nigeria and Ghana.
Schechter said that his com-
pany was in the process of ob-
taining similar contracts in
other African states and that
the same policy of using Israeli
skilled labor and technicians
would be followed there.
