Two Detroit high school teach-
ers — Walter Farber, of 18262
Oak Drive, and Dr. Irving Pa-
nush, of 20288 Avon — are
among 37 teachers increasing
their language proficiency and
teaching ability at the nation's
first summer Institute for Sec-
ondary School Teachers of
Modern Hebrew-at Yeshiva Uni-
versity's Stern College for
Women, in New York.
Farber and Panush, both
members of the Mumford High
School faculty, are attending the
institute preparatory to teaching
the first course in modern He
brew in the Detroit high schools;
beginning in the Fall. Farber,
who teaches English, and
Panush, who teaches social
studies, have been members of

Robert Syme and Rabbi Jacob
E. Segal officiated.

Parents of the bride are Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel L. Goodman of
Oak Dr. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Taub of
San Juan Ave.
The bride wore a gown of
ivory peau de soie with a
rounded neckline. The molded
bodice and 'fitted cummerbund
accented the dothe-shaped skirt
which fell . into a chapel train.
•Her tiara of tiny pearls held the
shoulder-length veil of ivory silk
illusion. She carried a bouquet
of Fuji mums.
Linda Goodman, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor, and
bridesmaids were Nulette Bas-
sin, Elaine Nathan, S a 11 y Jo
Sorock and Jill Taub, sister of
the bridegroom. -
Bernard Feldman of Philadel-
phia, cousin of the bridegroom,
was best man. Ushers were Philip
Cohen; Harvey Goodman, brother
of the bride; Robert Horne r;
Manuel Katzman and Robert
Sorock.
After -a - honeymoon, the couple
will reside in Kansas City, Kans.

A grant for the _establishment
of a Low Vision Clinic has been
awarded to Sinai Hospital by
the Department of Health, Edu-
cation and Welfare through the
Office of Vocational Rehabilita-
tion: •
The Low Vision Clinic at
Sinai, a*first attempt to use the
team approach on this problem
in Michigan, is designed to as-
sist visually handicapped per-
sons to ,make use of their resi-
dual vision through optical aids.
Many people with a correcta-
ble visual acuity of 20/200 are
considered legally blind. The
clinic at Sinai will offer careful
refraction and optical aids in
an attempt' to _transfer these in-
dividuals from. the status of
