Worldwide Bible Midwest Contest to Begin Aug. 20
A Midwestern Bible champion
will be selected Aug. 20 in Chi-
cago by an interdenominational
board of distinguished scholars.
On the same day, five other
champions will similarly be
chosen for other regions in the
United States.
The six regional champions
will be brought to New York
Sept. 3, with all expenses paid,
as the guests of the Israel Or-
ganizing Committee which is
arranging the Second Intern
tional Bible Competition.
They will compete in a n
tionally televised contest fo
the honor of representing the
U.S. against champions of some
56 other nations in Jerusalem,
Israel Oct. 3. The U.S. champion
will be presented with a round-
trip air ticket to Israel.
