Announces Nominees
for Directors' Board

Detroit Elects New Slate of Officers

Dr. John J. Pollack, chairman

of the nominating committee of
the Fresh Air Society, announces
the following board members
have been renominated for elec-
tion to the board of directors for
a three-year term:
Sol G. Kurtzman, Robert S.
Trepeck, Arthur D. Rodecker,
and Mesdames Theodore Barg-
man, I. Irving Bittker, Milford
Pregerson, Asher Tilchin' and
Samuel Willis.
Nominated for election to a
three year term are: Adolph
Goldberg, Alan Luckoff, and
Mesdames Emil T. Stern and
Julian H. Scott.
Other members of the nomi-
nating committee are Jack Wain-
ger, Harold Weiss and Mesdames
Samuel Chapin and Joseph Fen-
ton.
The annual meeting of the
Fresh Air Society will be held
1 p.m. Aug. 13 at Fair Acres
Camp (f o r m e r l y Fresh Air
Comp).

Mrs. Mildred Jeffrey, advo-
cate of Legislative re-apportion-
ment, is a candidate for -Consti-
tutional Convention delegate in
the 12th Representative Dis-
trict.
An active civic worker in
education, human relations,
Church and community affairs,
she was honored for her serv-
ices by. Workmen's Circle in
1955. She has served on the
Citizens Advisory Committee of
the Detroit Public Schools, is
a member of the Detroit Li-
brary Commission, vice-chair-
man of the Michigan Consumers
Association and a member of
the Board of Trustees of the
International Institute.
She lives at 10045 Grandville
with her husband and two
children.

officers to guide its 8,500 members in 2'7 lodges. Shown above,

delegates' meeting of the season
will be held 8:30 p.m. Wednes-
day at the Jewish Community
Center, Curtis at Meyers. A
special feature of the program
will be a talk by Councilman Wil-
liam Patrick on the proposals
for changes in the Detroit Com-
mission on Community Relations.
All Council Delegates are asked
to attend. Refreshments will be
served. The Detroit Council also
recently welcomed its 27th
lodge with the transfer of Har-
vey Levenberg Lodge of Mt.
Clemens from the Michigan

At the recent BNAI BRITH
DISTRICT CONVENTION in
C h i c a g o, Louis Weber and
Harry Weinberger were elected
to the District Board of Gover-
nors, while Weinberger was
also appointed to the District
Administrative Committee. Mil-
ton M. Weinstein is the new
District by-laws chairman and
Harry N. Katz, liaison chair-
man to the Women's District
Six.
