Relatives and friends are asked to attend. J. J. Trunk, Yiddish Writer, Dead at 74 NEW YORK, (JTA) — J. J. Trunk, Yiddish novelist, poet, scholar and journalist, died here at the age of 74. Among the mourners are ex- pected to be leading figures in the Jewish literary and labor fields. Born in Poland, and a protege ! there of I. L. Peretz, Trunk was 'active in the Jewish Socialist Labor Bund, and came to the United States in 1941 to par- ticipate in the activities of the Jewish Labor Committee. A mem- ber of the staff of the Day- Morning Journal, he wrote liter- ary criticism as well as other creative works, having been the author of 20 books, including seven volumes of poetry. He was formerly president of the P.E.N. Club. Hyman Fidelman, Partner in South Haven Resort, Dies- at 60 Hyman Fidelman, who with his brother, Irv, and mother, Belle, have operated one of the most popular resorts of southwestern Michigan at South Haven, died July 5. He was 60. The brothers owned the resort started 50 years ago this year by their father who first provided barn lodging to travelers and va- cationers from Chicago. Fidelman's Resort now enjoys a reputation in many states for its recreation facilities, entertain- ment, food and accommodations. Dr. Bernard Floch, Yeshiva U. Prof., Dies NEW YORK, (JTA)—Funer- al services were held here JUly 10 for Dr. Bernard Floch, pro- fessor of Latin and Greek at Yeshiva- University. He was 73 years old.
