Parley Urges Kosher
Food for Jewish Troops

FALLSBURG, N.Y., (JTA)—
A resolution calling on the
United States armed forces to
provide kosher food to Jewish
servicemen as a matter of right
was approved this week by 300
delegates to the annual conven-
tion of the National Conference
of Synagogue Youth, an affiliate
of the Union of Orthodox Jewish
Congregations of America.
The convention also elected
Larry Friedman, a student at
the Chicago Jewish Academy as
president. Another resolution
called on Jewish youth groups
to observe Sabbath and Jewish
dietary law at their public
activities.
