Lewis Browne's 'The World's Great
Scriptures' Appears as Paperback

Lewis Browne's name was
among the famous in his day.
His "This Believing World" be-
came a classic in his lifetime.
Some of his other works became
best sellers. It was sufficient
that his name was .attached to a
book for it to gain the top place
among books for which there was
the greatest demand.
His untimely death was 'a
tragedy and a great loss to the
literary world and to those who
clamored for his appearances on
the public platforms.

But his works still retain
their popularity, and it is
heartening to see one of his
important books appear as a
paperback.

knowledge. . . ."
In this spirit, Browne's "The
World's Great Scriptures" aimed
to explain the faiths of the peo-
ples of the world. He succeeded
admirably, and- the reprinting of
his important book will surely
be welcomed by a great many
who will turn to this book for
vital knowledge about religions.
