Is Solo Pianist for
Symphony Concert
ELEANOR LIPKIN ROCCHI
Eleanor Lipkin Rocchi, pianist,
will be the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra's soloist 8:15 p.m. today
in the Music Shell at the Michigan
State Fairgrounds. Valter Poole
will conduct the free concert.
Mrs. Rocchi will play Saint-
Saens' Concerto No. 2 in G minor.
The noted artist, a former Detroit-
er now living in Toledo, gave her
first recital at age six. At ages
8, 9 and 10 she won Michigan
Federation of Music Clubs awards.
A graduate of Curtis Institute
of Music, Philadelphia, she also
studied in Italy on a Fulbright
scholarship. The daughter of
Detroiters, Dr. and Mrs. Ezra
Lipkin, she has performed in
concert tours, across western
Europe.
