July 25 through Aug. 3, will
take part in a special ceremony
marking the beginning of con-

Elazar, a Youth Aliyah gradu-
ate, was named commander of
the Israel Armored Corps, re-
placing Brigadier Chaim Bar
Lev who is going to the United
States for a two-year study tour.
Elazar, who was born in
Yugoslavia and came here in
1940, rose through the ranks to
the command of a brigade in
Israel's 1956 Sinai Campaign.
