President Harry Laker announces that the first annual
picnic of the Laker Family Club will be held at the Ivory Polo
Grounds on July 23. Featured attractions will be a western
rodeo and pony rides for the children. Refreshments, prizes
and games will also highlight the occasion. The elected officers
of the Laker Family Club are Harry I. Laker, president; Melvin
Mermell and Marvin Laker, vice presidents; Mrs. - Harold I.
Laker, treasurer; Mrs. James N. Laker, secretary; Benjamin
Laker, adviser; and Mrs. Harry Fogel, sergeant-at-arms.
Frances Ehrlich of Los Angeles is the guest of her sister,
Mrs. David W. Arfa of Oak Park, during a three-week visit with
family and friends.
A surprise dinner party in honor of the silver anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. J. Milton Bressler was tendered recently by their
