In Algiers itself, a grenade was
tossed into a cafe frequented by
Jews, gravely wounding three
Jewish patrons . in the blast. The
victims were Michael Darmon,
71; Paul Atlan, a 31-year-old
policeman; and Maurice Oua-
lind, 26. On the same day, a
similar grenade attack was
made on a cafe in the center
of Algiers. Andre Said and his
wife were seriously hurt in the
explosion.
In another grenade attack on
a third cafe, Charles Selsec, 13,
and a young friend were hurt.
The Oualid Brothers store in
Blida was bombed and both
brotherrs were hurt, one seri-
ously. The store was almost
wrecked. The Lazare store in
Constantin was bombed in an
attack which injured five per-
sons and caused extensive dam-
age to the store.
