WALTHAM, Mass. — Four
Greater Detroit residents, includ-
ing two localites, all Dean's List
students maintaining an average
of B or better, were among more
than 300 students _from the U.S.
and 17 foreign countries who re-
ceived baccalaureate and gradu-
ate degrees at Brandeis Univer-
sity's tenth commencement Sun-
day.
Localities awarded the Bache-
lor of Arts degree were Nancy
Cohen, 25426 Parkwood, Hunt-
ington Woods, and Jonathan C.
Marwil, 18440 Wildemere. The
other_ Detroit recipients- were
Kirsten P. Henrickson, 14955
Grayfield; and Evert Makinen,
21815 Wohfeil, Taylor.
Miss Cohen, daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. 'A.' L. Cohen, is a mem-
ber of the Brandeis Honor So-
ciety. Co-editor of the student
literary magazine, "Turret'," the
English and American literature
major also was a . member of the
Brandeis chorus. She was award-
ed the Henry and Ida Wilchin-
ski Prize for excellence in poetry.
The Berkley High School grad-
uate will attend graduate school
at the University of Chicago,
where she planS to continue her
studies in English.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Marwill, Jonathan Marwill was
on the staff of the student news-
paper "Justice." A history major
at Brandeis, the Mumford High
School graduate will study his-
tory and classics in graduate
school.

can Society of Tool and Manu-
facturing' Engineers, at the an-
nual Tool Engineers Day in
New York.
Geschelin is past national
vice-president of the Society of
Automotive • Engineers, a mem-

nance Association and Detroit
Press Club.
He served as a consultant
to the U.S. Navy Bureau of
Ships during the entire period
of World 'War II and is listed
in Who's Who in Engineering,

Midwest.
