0 w Center Opens Several of Its Facilities June 24 , Announcement was made Wednesday, by the Jewish Com- munity Center, that several-of its facilities will not be in operation on Saturday afternoon, June 24. A decision reached on Wednesday calls for the commencement of these services: The library will be open for reading purposes, but books will not be circulated. The swimming pool and health club_ will be opened, but the office will be closed and there will be no sales of towels or other supplies. Those using the swimming pool will have to bring their own towels, and those who do not carry anything on the Sabbath may bring their swimming suits and towels on Fridays in preparation for the Sabbath activities. None of the food facilities will be available and nothing involving sales will be in operaton, according to the Center announcement. Zionist Organization Urged to Aid Day School Establishment NEW YORK, (JTA)—A se- ries of resolutions urging the intensification of efforts on the part of chapters and regions of the Zionist Organization of America to aid in the establish- ment of new Jewish day schools and to exercise influence on local federations and welfare funds to financially support such schools, was adopted at the closing session of a ZOA- sponsored two - day • National Conference on Jeviiish Educa- tion. The conference also recom- mended vigorous - measures by the ZOA to encourage the in- tegration of Jewish education with progressive summer camp- ing.
