million dollars will highlight
the 21st annual congregational
dinner and meeting of Temple
Israel, Wednesday evening.
The two additions, which
mark the third phase of the
temple's building program,
are the Harry
Sucher School
and the Sarah
Schmier Me-
morial Chapel.

in numerous Jewish and gen-
eral community activities.

school will occupy the rooms.
The confirmation department
and eighth grade will meet
there on Saturdays, while• the
high school will embark on an
expanded program on Sunday
mornings. Adult educatiCn
classes will meet regularly in
the rooms in the evenings.
The dedication s p e a k e r,
Rabbi Kaufman, a former De-
troiter, was under Dr. Fram's
tutelage. While his family be-
longed to Temple Israel, Rabbi
Kaufman prepared to enter the
rabbinate. His family is still
associated with the Temple.
The classroom addition and
chapel were erected under the
leadership of Leslie R. Schmier
as chairman of the building
committee and Sam BurtMan,
co-chairman. Robert S. Trepeck
was chairman of the building
fund campaign.

Graduates 139
Students June 19

The annual graduation exer-
cises of the senior high school,
junior high school and elemen-
tary schools of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek will take place 8 p.m.
June 19 in the main sanctuary.
Nine graduates of the senior
high school, 39 graduates of the
junior high school and 91 gradu-
ates of the elementary school will
receive diplomas signifying their
completion of the course of stud-
ies prescribed for their respective
departments.
The theme of the graduation
will be the Congregation's Cen-
